R.L. Pensacola, United States

I am Rebecca Li, a Chinese student. I graduated and reached the General Level of ICCE. Now I am enjoying my first semester in Pensacola Christian College as a freshman. I am grateful that the biblical curriculums of ICCE not only make me well prepared for the study of the first semester of college, but also built my characters during my home-schooled period. Above all, I must give thanks to my ICCE advisor, Mrs. Kate Vivian who helped me in every way. She taught me how to select course, edited my essays, and gave me precious advices for my study. Without her assistance and care, I may not complete my studies successfully.

N.S. Boston, United States

I’m currently studying at the specialized environment of New England Conservatory of Music (Boston), where I am pursuing my career to become a musician. However, I would like to take the opportunity and say a few words about my experience at ICCE general studies. I joined this program because I wanted more time to focus in my musical trainings while studying general high school curriculum. I was fortunate to have found this program that solely accommodated my personal goals and I can never express my gratitude enough for my instructors for their dedication and patience to help me.

I started my education with TEACH, in 2004. I found it very helpful in developing my independence, and allowing me to work, and gain life experience. I was able to choose subjects which I enjoyed. I completed my mathematics bias certificate, which has enabled me to go to Nottingham university, and study computer science, which is something I knew I wanted to do from a young age. Learning from home has helped me greatly with my university course thus far, as much of it is independent learning.

The mathematics that I studied through TEACH has also been very helpful in my maths modules, since I already covered some of the material with TEACH. I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity to study through TEACH, and really found the support, helpful.

After not having a particular enthralling, pleasant time at secondary school at the age of 12, ACE gave me the opportunity to escape and embrace another side of learning – a curriculum that encouraged effort, integrity, and yearning of knowledge.
At first, it was a struggle. The PACEs seemed like hard work. However, I prayed, was encouraged to do my best, and was supported by my supervisor/mother, who stayed behind me funnily enough – every inch of the way through Mathematics, every punctuation rule and mighty assignment in English Grammar and English Literature, every experiment in Science, etc. Now, I’ve obtained grades that I’m very proud of, as well as my family.

ACE astoundingly isn’t afraid to stand up for Biblical truths which western countries have seemingly forgotten. The principle of loving our fellow man, that all men are created equal by the power of our creator, and treating each other with respect, regardless of skin colour. This reflects the comforting yet palpable zeal inside of us that we’re indeed special and rational as human beings: we are all made in the image of God.

My experience with ICCE has been one of great pleasure! Although the programme was hard at times, God has used it to mould me into a self-motivated and well-rounded person to equip me to take on the world and serve God regardless of peer pressure and latest trends. With perseverance and support from all angles I completed the programme and had the privilege of obtaining my ICCE Advanced Certificate with good grades which I possess with honour. It has permitted me to complete my degree within the projection of two years.

With the Bible being its foundation, ICCE is a high-quality, life-changing system that has aided me to continue further with my education and career with confidence and drive. I pray that all students will experience this too as they complete the ICCE programme!

I really enjoyed the ICCE and felt that the PACE and goal-card system encouraged independent learning in me, which has served me in good stead since moving into higher education after finishing with ICCE after my intermediate certificate. ICCE allowed me to work at my own pace, and also gave me enough flexibility when I had sudden changes in schedule. I found the PACE’s interesting, and my favourites were World Geography, Mission, World History, and Old Testament Survey. I am now studying history and politics at Oxford University, and the study skills I learned doing the ICCE as well as the knowledge it taught me, have helped me enormously in getting to where I am today.

A.S. Twickenham

I started the ACE curriculum at age 10 and at age 15 started studying for the ICCE General Certificate. The ICCE process was challenging at times but well worth the hard work as I learnt to master every subject area that I was
studying. Furthermore, throughout my experience of the ACE curriculum, I learnt character building which has moulded me into the person I am today.

I am studying Primary Education BA (honours) at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham, and am thoroughly enjoying this course.

A.C.E. prepared me for university both academically, through the rigorous grammar and literature course, and also personally as the goal-setting and independent study methods helped me to develop these skills which are so important at university and the work place. Following my degree, I was offered a place to complete a teacher training qualification (PGCE). I am now working full-time as an English teacher at a local middle school with children age 9-13. As well as preparing me academically, the Bible verses and the integration of the Biblical character traits throughout the A.C.E. curriculum have helped to give me a strong foundation for applying Biblical principles into my life.

My parents decided to home educate my brothers and I when I was eight years old. I believe this was the best decision they made for me and my future. Learning with a curriculum based on the word of God blessed me immensely, and continues to be a blessing to me.

I graduated with the ICCE Advanced Level in 2010 when I was seventeen, having taken the mathematics bias, and gained entry to Brunel University to study a master’s degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering in September that year.

L.H. Durham

I was privileged to study with the ACE programme from the early days of Preschool with Ace and Christi, until summer 2013 when I flew the homeschool nest with an Advanced Certificate in Arts. Since then, I have been pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mandarin Chinese and English Literature at the University of Durham, an opportunity which I was able to access thanks to the merits of the ICCE accreditation. Although my educational and religious background have proven to be quite different from those of my peers, I can truthfully say that these differences have not been disadvantages to me.

I feel that the foundation my parents provided me with through the ICCE has allowed me to thrive here, and enabled me to complete last year’s exams with a First.
